Professional Development


The overall goal of the National Coalition for Family and Consumer Sciences Education is to increase communication and project a unified voice and focus on family and consumer sciences issues.


Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (http://www.gpidea.org) - A multi-state alliance offering fully online graduate programs.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Education Program Consortium universities collaborate to help students find online courses to meet teacher certification/licensure requirements. The universities involved in the consortium include Colorado State University, Iowa State University, Kansas State University, Texas Tech University
Michigan State University, University of Missouri, Montana State University, University of Nebraska
North Dakota State University, Oklahoma State University, and South Dakota State University.
