The overall goal of the National Coalition for Family and Consumer Sciences Education is to increase communication and project a unified voice and focus on Family and Consumer Sciences issues.

National Board Certification - Information on the National Board Certification, a voluntary assessment program that certifies educators who meet specified standards, is available at the National Board for Professional Teacher Standards website. (http://www.nbpts.org/)

 

Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance (http://www.gpidea.org) - A multi-state alliance offering fully online graduate programs.

The Family and Consumer Sciences Education Program Consortium universities collaborate to help students find online courses to meet teacher certification/licensure requirements. The universities involved in the consortium include:
