Foreword
The Yearbook Planning Committee of the Education
and Technology Division of the American Association of
Family and Consumer Sciences is pleased to present the
24th Yearbook, the third in an electronic format. The
committee’s charge is to produce an annual yearbook
for family and consumer sciences educators. The 22nd eYearbook
represented a shift from a historical and research focus
to a practitioner focus.
This eYearbook features exemplary family and consumer
sciences programs, practices, and teachers as identified
by state and local administrators and teacher educators.
The eYearbook is intended to serve classroom teachers
and undergraduate and graduate students. Teacher educators,
professors, and state and local administrators should
find the eYearbook useful in providing relevant and useful
examples for the audiences they serve including new and
returning teachers, advisory committee members, school
administrators, counselors, school board members, and
policy makers.
Special appreciation is expressed to all who contributed
to this eYearbook.
