The overall goal of the National Coalition for Family and
Consumer Sciences Education is to increase communication and project a
unified voice and focus on Family and Consumer Sciences issues.
National Center for Career and Technical Education created
a showcase of exemplary and promising carer and technical education programs
between 2000 and 2002 through a grant from the US Department of Education.
Several of the programs featured are culinary arts programs. They can

The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences
(AAFCS) honors exemplary family and consumer sciences programs and practices
and honor outstanding family and consumer sciences teachers. The Education
and Technology Division has published e-yearbooks onthese programs and
